A/W 2013 - Classic Patterns

After a crazy summer and spring collections from designers showing bold, bright patterns on the catwalk, designers were ready to go back to the basic. Leopard, plaid, and pinstripes all made appearances on the runway, but laundry looking plaid was a pattern which caught a lot of attention because it still brought a fun vibe to winter fashion. This trend would have to be one of the most populist trends this A/W as so many designers have brought out something related to this trend, it doesn't necessarily have to be the whole outfit covered in one of the latest patterns but maybe it's just the collar or just the shoes to add a bit more playfulness to the outfit.

Rag & Bone

What I like about Rag and Bone 2013 A/W collection is the mix and match designs and how they've layered clothing over clothing. I also like how they've used a lot of different materials with the patterns in their A/W collection. Another thing I like about Rag and Bone 2013 collection is how it has a chic, grunge look to it and the patterns are either dark colours such a vampire red, muddy greys etc or you have quite bright colours which complement each other but still clash when over layering. For their collection they've kept the hair and make-up simple and natural with the hair pinned to one side and very subtle make-up so it doesn't take the attention away from the patterns on the clothes.
